daemon status gave its connection 1.5s, including the SSH handshake for an ssh:// host, so a host whose SSH stream takes 2.5s to open was reported unreachable while other commands reached it. An explicit host now gets the same connect budget as other commands; the local instance probe keeps 1.5s.
