* feat(server): run internal plugins in-process through the plugin runtime
* fix(server): harden internal plugin startup and boundary checks
* feat(usage): add plugin usage sources and Codex discovery
* fix(usage): share SDK helpers and bound source cache
* feat(usage): migrate usage fetchers to plugin sources
Serve the legacy usage RPC from discovered source reports so older apps retain the same host usage list while new clients use the source registry. Keep credential reads and normalization inside each source.
* refactor(usage): shape sources as fetch functions
Keep the plugin usage API limited to stable report and presentation helpers. Source-local parsers and timeout handling preserve credential and response parity while the cases move alongside each source.
* feat(usage): resolve reports from active session accounts
Resolve source inputs at fetch time so model and credential changes select the account each session spends. Keep the legacy discovered-account RPC for existing clients. Sync OpenCode model events outside foreground turns so usage follows model switches.
* fix usage source discovery and session report parity
* test adapter usage references through daemon RPC
* name usage reference contract across server
* refactor(usage): own usage RPCs and validate session auth
* feat(omp): resolve session usage from active OAuth credential
* fix(omp): match usage source input and valid credential fallback
* test(omp): use upstream credential database schema
* test(omp): verify live session usage references
* fix(usage): declare YAML parser and consolidate credential validation
* feat(app): show usage sources in the composer and a Usage screen
Replace the provider-matched usage in the context ring tooltip with a
composer pill driven by agent.get_usage_report, add a sidebar Usage
screen over usage.list_reports grouped by host, and move the host
settings Usage page to usage.list_reports. Hosts without
features.usageSources show an update message. Source icons come from
the report's catalog SVG. The app no longer calls provider.usage.list.
* fix(usage): declare the Paseo requirement on internal usage-source plugins
A manifest without requirements.paseo targets Paseo before 0.8, so the daemon
refused to start eight of the nine usage sources.
* fix(app): keep host connection statuses live under the React Compiler
The hook read a store version only as a memo trigger (void version); the
compiler dropped it, so pages that mounted before a host came online kept
showing it as connecting.
* fix(app): place the context ring slot before the usage pill
The ring reserves its slot before it has data. With the pill first, the empty
slot sat between the pill and the mic; now it falls in the flexible space.
* refactor(app): extract the settings page layout into PageLayout
Desktop puts the title in the page above a centered column; compact moves it
into a back header. Settings renders the same pixels through it.
* feat(app): lay out the Usage screen like a settings page
The title moves from the header bar into the page on desktop; compact gets the
settings back header, which returns home when the screen was opened by URL.
* refactor(app): drop the unused actions slot from PageLayout
* test(plugin): classify the usage source SDK entry
* fix(usage): preserve platform test contracts
* fix(settings): preserve page title test contract
* feat(usage): identify and cache reports by account ID
Keep report identity stable across input routes and token rotation, and make selective refresh operate on known account reports.
* feat(app): read usage reports through report IDs
Share report data between agent pills and host views while preserving the existing popover interaction for the next UI phase.
* fix(usage): keep account identity aligned with credentials
Read labels from local token claims and use one credential lookup for usage fetches and account identification. Bound cached profile identities across token rotation.
* fix(usage): isolate failure IDs and prune expired reports
Failure reports live outside the account-key namespace, and cache writes discard entries past the five-minute TTL.
* refactor(app): share the compact time-ago prose formatter
Move the tab tooltip's "3m" -> "3m ago" wording into utils/time so the
usage card can reuse it.
* feat(usage): show when each report was fetched
The usage card reads fetchedAt as "Updated 3m ago": a tooltip on the
card header where hover exists (web, desktop), printed in the card
footer on native and compact. Shared by the pill popover and the Usage
screen.
* feat(usage): open the pill popover from cache and refresh on demand
Opening the popover no longer forces a vendor fetch; it shows the cached
report. A Refresh control force-refreshes only this report
(usage.list_reports with its single ID and forceRefresh), shows
Refreshing... while it runs, keeps the previous report visible, and says
"Unable to refresh usage" if the request fails.
* feat(app): let ToolbarButton show a tooltip other than its label
An icon action can now say a status in its tooltip ("Updated 3m ago")
while keeping its label for accessibility.
* feat(usage): refresh a report from its card header
Refresh is an icon button at the right edge of every usage card header,
in the pill popover and on the Usage screen. It force-refreshes only that
report, writes the result to the report's cache and its host list, shows
a spinner and disables itself while pending, and prints "Unable to
refresh usage" in the card on failure. Its tooltip carries the
freshness; without hover the freshness stays in the card footer. The
status indicator sits just left of the button, and the popover's
separate refresh row is gone.
* fix(server): include internal plugin assets in built output
* feat(server): built-in plugins in /plugins (#5544)
* feat(server): load compiled built-in Codex plugin
* test(server): guard built-in plugin loading and installs
* test(server): verify built-in plugins from dist in CI
* refactor(server): migrate remaining usage sources to built-in plugins
* test(server): guard all packaged usage source registrations
* docs: describe usage validation across plugin hosts
* test(ci): include built-in plugins in routing contract
* test(server): import moved Codex usage source
* fix(server): retain ACP updates received with session creation
* fix(server): stop re-deriving path state for every scanned directory
Directory suggestion scans were CPU-bound in path bookkeeping rather than
in reading the tree. A 20,000-entry scan of a 197,000-directory home took
6.9s, of which readdir accounted for 50ms; the rest went to repeated path
normalization.
Three redundant passes are removed:
- Discovery re-derived Git-ignore state by walking every ancestor of every
entry. Traversal only descends through entries that already passed that
check, so only the entry itself can be newly ignored.
- Discovery re-derived root containment for every child. Only a symlink can
resolve outside the tree being walked; every other child is its parent's
path plus a name, and the parent was already proved inside.
- The directory listing cache swept itself for expired keys on every miss
once it reached its cap, an O(cache size) pass per directory read. Reads
already reject stale entries by expiry and by directory metadata.
The same scan now takes 1.1s. The new test expresses the budget against a
plain readdir walk of the same tree, so it means the same thing on CI as on
a developer machine: the ratio was 12x and is now under 3x.
Refs #4879
* test(server): skip the scan-cost budget on Windows
The tree it needs is deeper than MAX_PATH allows, and the directory
listing cache it measures is disabled on Windows because directory
metadata cannot validate it there.
* test(server): count containment derivations instead of timing the scan
The previous budget compared wall-clock scan time against a readdir walk
of the same tree. packages/server/AGENTS.md requires tests to be
deterministic, and a ratio between an I/O-bound walk and a CPU-bound scan
moves with filesystem caching and runner load.
isPathInsideRoot now counts its calls behind start/stopPathContainmentMetrics,
matching the existing git command metrics. Scanning a symlink-free tree of
320 entries derived containment 1,760 times before this branch and derives
it none now, which is the defect stated exactly rather than inferred from a
stopwatch.
A second test covers the other direction: a symlink that leaves the root is
still checked, and still excluded from results.
* fix(server): keep the Git-ignore ancestor walk for symlinked entries
A symlink resolves to a path whose ancestors were never checked during
traversal, so a link into an ignored directory was discovered. Named
children keep the single-entry check.
* test(server): declare the scan helper as a function

Refresh Git exclusions when ignored directories appear after subscription and bound Linux and native classification work. Preserve tracked-file notifications, ignore-update barriers, and watcher recovery.
Fixes#4558. Supersedes #4808 by @Marcus172; this change incorporates six commits originally authored by Marek Rom and adds verified follow-up fixes. The independent session-context leak is fixed by #5208. Combined isolated daemon verification passed.

* fix(server): preserve comparison base when restoring worktrees
Restore archived worktrees from the workspace's saved comparison base instead of using the feature branch as its own base. Preserve the branch HEAD and allow restore when an exact comparison ref no longer exists.
* test(app): isolate draft preference checks from menu animation
* perf(app): optimize wrapped measurements and checkpoint native layout experiment
Compute full grapheme geometry only for final wrap fragments. Preserve shaped-text search behavior while bounding additive wrap probes. Keep the Android background layout experiment isolated from the normal diff renderer; native renderer integration and iOS bindings remain unfinished.
* perf(server): reduce cold diff generation work
Keep active diff reads owned across invalidation and wait for the initial watcher inventory before cold generation. Batch patch and blob reads while preserving per-file size isolation, bounded output, and daemon responsiveness. Avoid constructing fallback tokens when full-file highlighting already covers both sides.
* test(server): exercise oversized highlighted diff rejection
The single-line fixture now bypasses highlighting under the long-line guard, so it no longer reaches the structured payload limit. Use short dense lines to keep testing oversized rejection and continued socket usability.
* fix(server): queue fresh diffs for forced reads
A forced request following a repository mutation must not reuse an older active build. Invalidate that result and coalesce waiting callers onto one subsequent build. Give the cache a named object input and completed-value type.
* test(server): share deferred diff loader setup
* test(server): name completed diff cache setup
* refactor(server): use aliases for new diff imports
* fix(server): keep shipped diff imports resolvable by Node
The TypeScript build preserves path aliases without a runtime resolver. Restore relative imports for shipped code and declarations, and correct the server import guideline that prompted the regression.
* feat(workspaces): gate fork repository automation
Cross-repository change requests can execute contributor-controlled package hooks even when the setup command comes from the base repository. Persist the checkout provenance and require one explicit workspace-level setup action before repository automation runs.
* fix(workspaces): clarify blocked script errors
* fix(app): keep long toasts readable
* test(server): expect fork repository provenance
* test(server): make setup marker portable
* test(app): retry transient sidebar layout
A repository-controlled core.fsmonitor command can execute when the daemon refreshes Git state. Opening or reconciling a malicious checkout therefore allows code execution as the daemon user. Force core.fsmonitor=false on daemon-owned Git invocations before repository config is considered.
Paseo forced signing off for commits created through the app and squash merges. Let Git apply the user's configured policy; the existing command timeout still bounds interactive signer waits.

* fix(server): keep Git pressure from stalling daemon
Git process starts were refilled synchronously, so slow process spawning could monopolize the main loop long enough to trip connection liveness checks. Admit one process per event-loop turn and expose refresh/fetch provenance in runtime queue metrics.
* perf(server): avoid delaying isolated Git commands
Start the first command immediately when the scheduler is idle. Backlog admission and completion-driven refills still yield between spawns, preserving daemon liveness without adding a turn to normal sequential Git traffic.
* fix(server): keep Git admission outside fake clocks
Subprocess admission is event-loop ordering rather than simulated wall-clock behavior. Use the native Node immediate so service tests can fake debounce timers without deadlocking queued real Git processes.
* refactor(server): bind Git command provenance explicitly
* test(server): expect bound Git fetch runner
* feat(protocol): add forge check presentation metadata
Expose optional rawStatus, isManual, and requiresAction fields while keeping older check payloads backward-compatible.
* fix(gitea): model Actions jobs as tasks
Gitea's /actions/tasks endpoint returns individual jobs rather than workflow runs. Preserve sibling tasks from the latest execution, avoid collapsing same-name jobs, and enrich blocked tasks with run-level approval metadata.
* feat(app): distinguish forge check presentation states
* fix(gitlab): preserve pipeline job semantics
* refactor(app): centralize forge check presentation policy
Use one canonical category order, count shape, visual policy, and translated copy mapping across sidebar, hover-card, PR-pane, and GitLab pipeline surfaces.
* refactor: consolidate forge check handling
* feat(forge): auto-attach pasted forge references
* docs(compat): correct forge rollout metadata
* refactor(forge): model check nuances as traits
* fix(forge): harden checks from branch review
Structural Gitea Actions shadow dedup by run id (verified upstream),
rerun grouping without workflow_id, shared trait/status constants and
Gitea state mapping in the protocol package, all cloud host aliases in
pasted-link matching, logged glab job-detail failures, concurrent
approvals/pipeline fetch, checks aggregate from the same pipeline as
the job list, and removal of the unread check-level rawStatus. The
released pipeline-level rawStatus is staged for removal under
COMPAT(pipelineRawStatus).
* fix(gitea): detect fork-PR Actions approval hold as action_required
gitea.com represents a fork PR awaiting Actions approval as a run in
status "waiting" with no tasks and pending shadow commit statuses; it
does not expose need_approval. The previous mapping only set
action_required from a task with blocked+need_approval, so the gate
never surfaced (0 tasks -> early return; need_approval absent). Detect
the hold from /actions/runs: a waiting/blocked run whose PR is
cross-repo (head.repo.id != base.repo.id), or one that does expose
need_approval (self-hosted). Tag the run's pending shadow statuses
action_required. Runs are only fetched when a pending shadow has no
covering task, keeping the common path at two requests. Verified live
against gitea.com fork PR (run 715170, waiting, cross-repo).
* fix(gitea): resolve cross-fork PRs by head sha
The current-PR matcher gated candidates on the checkout owner
(giteaHeadOwner === expectedHeadOwner), which excludes every fork PR:
its head carries the fork owner while the checkout is the base repo, so
a fork PR - the only shape that can be approval-held on Gitea - never
resolved and its checks never showed in-app. GitLab has no such gate
(it resolves fork MRs from the target project by source branch). Accept
a recent PR whose head sha equals the workspace head sha regardless of
owner; the sha is an unambiguous identity, so the anti-collision owner
gate still applies when no sha match is available. Verified live against
gitea.com fork PR #6 (resolves + renders action_required).

* fix(server): keep current PR visible without unsafe archival
PR discovery and merge-triggered archival answer different questions. Follow the checked-out branch for status, while requiring the daemon to observe the same PR move from open to merged before archiving a workspace.
* test(server): align managed worktree PR lookup expectation
Managed metadata without a matching PR target must not hide the unambiguous PR identity from the current branch tracking configuration.
Branch-off creation reused the filesystem slug validator even when callers supplied a separate branch name and worktree slug. Validate branch refs with Git at the worktree boundary so exact valid refs are preserved while path slugs remain restricted.
* fix(server): bind auto-archive to workspace PR state
Managed worktrees previously derived PR status from whichever branch was currently checked out, so checkout drift could attach an unrelated merged PR to the sidebar and archive flow. Pin PR lookup identity at worktree creation, fail closed on drift, and fan the same fresh PR snapshot shown in the sidebar to every workspace sharing that cwd.
* fix(server): serialize shared workspace auto-archive
* refactor(server): archive from one fresh git observation
* feat(sync): restore host directories before reconnect
Persist complete project, workspace, and active-agent replicas so every registered host can paint immediately, including offline hosts. Reconcile those replicas through monotonic per-entity cursors on the existing directory RPCs without retaining an event journal.
* fix(sync): preserve active turn identity during catch-up
Own Agent-to-wire projection beside the existing snapshot normalizer so replica persistence does not reach through directory-sync internals. This also keeps identified active turns intact when unchanged agents are folded into an incremental directory response.
* test(e2e): inspect the real IndexedDB replica
Keep cache setup, reload, and hydration coverage on the production browser storage backend after the replica moved off localStorage. Measure writes at the actual IndexedDB put boundary as well.
* fix warm reconnect cache paths
* feat(sync): persist project icons and deepen directory sync
* fix(sync): preserve project update order
* fix(cache): preserve validated replica persistence
* fix(sync): retain cached agents during catch-up
Project icon discovery could select an ICO that native clients cannot decode even when a renderable SVG or PNG was available. Keep ICO as the final fallback and recognize common sized icon names.
* fix(providers): make catalog refresh deadlines configurable
Provider startup can legitimately exceed a fixed short timeout when catalog discovery has substantial initialization work. Give each provider refresh one configurable deadline covering availability and the complete catalog probe, and cancel named child operations before allowing retries so timed-out work cannot accumulate in the background.
* fix(opencode): abort catalog server acquisition
A provider refresh could expire while the helper server was still starting because acquisition only tracked the activity without observing its abort signal. Reject acquisition before transferring a server reference, while leaving the manager-owned startup reusable by the next caller.
* test(file-observer): allow native burst recovery
* fix(worktrees): preserve selected base config
New worktrees were overwriting the selected ref's paseo.json with source-checkout bytes, which could create an accidental revert in an otherwise fresh workspace. Keep committed base config authoritative and warn when locally saved setup changes still need to be committed.
* fix(worktrees): seed config exclusively
* fix(projects): refresh config status on focus
* fix(worktrees): honor saved setup configuration
Project Settings writes paseo.json in the source checkout, but existing committed copies in new worktrees previously won silently. Copy the saved project config before lifecycle setup so the command shown to users is the command that runs.
* fix(worktrees): replace config symlinks safely
A selected ref can place a symlink at paseo.json, so copying over that path may overwrite a file outside the worktree. Materialize the saved source config with atomic rename semantics to replace the path entry without following it.
* fix(server): always create requested worktrees
A slug is a preferred name, not workspace identity. Let the worktree creator suffix occupied paths and branches so duplicate and detached-slug requests still create fresh worktrees.
* fix(server): suffix occupied checkout branches
Fresh creation also applies when checkout targets are already in use. Create a suffixed branch from the requested branch instead of rejecting the request.
* test(server): align occupied branch coverage
* test(server): remove stale worktree reuse expectations
* Render SVG project icons on native and fall back for ICO
React Native's <Image> silently decodes neither SVG nor ICO, so any
project whose discovered icon was one of those formats showed a blank
slot on iOS/Android while web/Electron rendered it fine. Route SVG data
URIs through react-native-svg on native and let ICO fall through to the
initial-letter avatar instead of rendering nothing.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Import Buffer explicitly so SVG icons actually decode on device
React Native has no global Buffer and the app installs no global polyfill,
so projectIconSvgXml threw ReferenceError inside its try/catch and returned
null on every SVG — the exact blank-slot bug the previous commit meant to
fix. Vitest runs in Node where Buffer is global, which is why the tests
passed anyway; the new regression test deletes globalThis.Buffer to keep
the import honest.

* Prefer renderable icon formats and unwrap PNG-bearing ICOs
favicon.ico ranked first in ICON_PATTERNS, so any repo with a standard
public/ layout served ICO — which native <Image> cannot decode — even when
an SVG or PNG sat in the same directory. Rank SVG and PNG above ICO for
each name, sniff magic bytes instead of trusting the extension (renamed
PNGs shipped as image/x-icon are common), and extract the largest
PNG-encoded frame from real ICO containers so native clients get a
decodable image instead of falling back to the letter avatar.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Render SVG icons with CSS support and fall back on parse failure
SvgXml ignores <style> blocks, which favicon SVGs commonly use, leaving
paths with a default black fill — invisible on dark themes. SvgCss inlines
the styles before rendering. Pass the letter avatar as the fallback so a
malformed SVG degrades to it instead of an empty slot, and fold the
workspace setup dialog's hand-rolled icon cascade into ProjectIconView so
the format handling lives in one place.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Take the platform as an explicit parameter in icon source helpers
The tests previously pinned isNative to true with a module-level vi.mock,
which coupled them to import initialization and left the web pass-through
paths uncovered. Defaulting an explicit `native` parameter to the real
constant keeps call sites unchanged while letting tests exercise both
variants directly.

* fix(server): bound shared-worktree fetch refreshes
* fix(server): preserve buffered git metadata events
* fix(server): cover remote ref selection changes
* fix(server): preserve narrow fetch echo routing
* fix(server): preserve ref updates during refresh
Keep normal refresh requeue semantics for watcher events that arrive while a ref-derived calculation is active, so a second same-ref movement cannot be mistaken for the original fetch echo.
* fix(server): narrow external fetch ref updates
Use authoritative fetch boundaries to separate watcher echoes from outside events, and retain remote ref names so packed-to-loose materialization from other Git clients stays narrow without weakening add/delete fallbacks.
Clicking a file path an agent mentioned failed with "No file found"
whenever git ignored the file, which covers anything written under a
scratch directory such as .dev/.
Backticked paths do not open directly. They resolve through the
directory-suggestions RPC, which the daemon runs with gitignore
filtering on for every workspace search. findExactEntry resolved the
path, confirmed it stayed inside the workspace root, and then discarded
it on the ignore check.
Ignore filtering belongs to discovery. It keeps build output out of the
composer's @-mention picker and out of the directory chooser, and both
of those keep it. It does not belong to retrieval of a path the caller
named exactly, where containment inside the root is the only question
left. That check is now dropped from the exact-path branch alone.
This does not widen what is readable. The file-read path applies no
ignore filtering at all; resolveScopedPath checks only root containment,
before and after resolving symlinks. Every file this surfaces was
already readable through the file explorer.

* fix(server): make workspace archive self-healing
Background setup could keep writing after its workspace record was archived, causing disk cleanup to fail and the initiating client to restore a local ghost. Track setup per daemon so archive can stop it, and let repeated archive requests finish residual cleanup after the record has committed.
* fix(server): await setup process termination
Archive must not proceed from setup cancellation until the process-tree terminator has completed. Join that promise to the streamed command's existing finish path so child close cannot release workspace cleanup early.
* fix(workspaces): default new worktrees to upstream refs
Use the daemon-resolved upstream as the untouched starting ref so unpushed local commits do not leak into new workspaces. Preserve exact base identity for fork remotes while keeping local-first behavior across version drift.
* fix(workspaces): preserve exact base refs in git actions
Resolve accepted display aliases back to the stored ref before comparisons and updates. Fail closed when a non-origin remote base has no explicit mutable merge target.
* fix(workspaces): reject conflicting qualified base refs
Display aliases remain accepted for compatibility, but a qualified ref carries remote identity and must not be canonicalized to a different stored upstream.
* test(server): make upstream fixtures portable
Keep the checkout-status fixture aligned with the optional upstream field, and select main explicitly when cloning a bare test remote whose default HEAD varies by platform.
* fix(workspaces): preserve exact upstream refs
Qualified remote refs now fail closed when pruned instead of switching lineage. Metadata accepts Git-valid upstream names rather than applying a narrower character whitelist.
* fix(workspaces): preserve qualified local base refs
Local tracking branches are exact upstream identities too. Keep heuristics only for legacy unqualified metadata so origin cannot replace a stored refs/heads base.
* perf(server): bound Git process starts
Git refresh bursts could keep creating short-lived processes at the concurrency ceiling, causing sustained process churn on constrained hosts. Apply one daemon-global start-rate and concurrency policy to every Git command while preserving the legacy concurrency environment variable.

* fix(git): reconcile pull requests after branch changes
Treat persisted change-request metadata as a branch-bound hint and prefer current tracking configuration when it identifies the checked-out branch.
* fix(git): preserve enterprise fork identity
Use branch-bound metadata to supplement the owner when explicit tracking points at the same head on a self-hosted remote.
* fix(git): honor local branch upstreams
Treat Git remote dot with a merge ref as explicit current tracking so stale PR metadata cannot override a local upstream.
* fix(git): own change request branch bindings
Centralize persisted hint validation and rebinding so renames preserve change request identity while switches invalidate it, including normalized legacy Enterprise owners.
* fix(git): preserve PR identity through workspace renames
Resolve the backing worktree root during rename without adding a Git call, and retain fork owner identity from explicit same-name tracking configuration.
* fix(git): trust current enterprise fork identity
Explicit tracking now derives repository identity from the current remote path, so stale checkout metadata cannot override a repointed fork.
* fix(git): recognize enterprise repository aliases
GitHub repository identity is case-insensitive. Normalize equality checks so differently cased aliases cannot turn base tracking into a fork lookup.
* fix(git): reject ownerless legacy fork matches
Owner-qualified legacy hints only belong to their historical owner-prefixed branch names. A later ownerless branch reusing the same head must resolve from current Git state instead.
* fix(git): keep fork feature lookups local
A feature branch may track the upstream base branch for ancestry even when origin is a fork. Only treat that cross-repository base ref as PR identity when the local branch name identifies the tracked head.

Random host-local project IDs replaced the remote-derived value that had also served as grouping identity. Persist a separate opaque group key and let normal boot reconciliation backfill older records without a migration.

resolver that turned grouping keys back into project ids.
A workspace has a projectId. The key belongs to the project, and
grouping is a display concern, so the daemon now publishes projects
over project.list plus the existing project.update channel and the app
groups them in one place. Projects are addressed by host-local
projectId everywhere, including the settings route.
Projects persisted without a key are backfilled by ordinary boot
reconciliation, with no migration. Old daemons advertise no projectList
capability and simply do not group.
* test(projects): seed projects alongside workspaces in fixtures
Sidebar fixtures seeded workspaces without their projects, which the
daemon cannot produce now that projects arrive on their own channel, so
nothing rendered. Adds a seeding helper that supplies both.
Also drops the provisioning test for accepting a project key where a
project id belongs; that resolver was removed deliberately.
* fix(projects): keep derived project identity stable
Four gaps left by shrinking the key derivation:
Local keys used a bare path resolve, so one directory reached by a
different spelling produced a different key and reset grouped identity.
Windows CI caught this with the 8.3 and long-name forms of one temp
path. Canonicalize through the shared realpath-aware normalization.
Subproject display names lost their selected-path input, so every
subproject of a monorepo rendered under the same remote-derived name.
Reconciliation only ever backfilled a missing key, so a project whose
remote changed stayed grouped with hosts on the old remote.
Project settings kept a disconnected host selected and rendered a dead
end with no way back to an editable host.
* fix(projects): read scheme remotes as URLs, not scp form
An `ssh://user@host:22/org/repo` remote matched the scp-form pattern
first, because `[^@]+` happily eats `ssh://git`, so the port landed in
the path and the project keyed as `remote:host/22/org/repo`. Two
spellings of one remote therefore never grouped.
Try scp form only when there is no scheme, and drop protocol-default
ports so an explicitly written `:22` matches the same remote without it.
* fix: reject oversized checkout diffs
* fix(diff): keep large previews from disconnecting clients
The physical socket limit is an OOM backstop, not a frame-size contract. Bound structured diff construction incrementally and report oversized previews without closing the client's socket.
* fix(app): preserve oversized diff state
* fix(diff): stay within relay frame limit

* feat(server): support symlink worktree includes
* refactor(server): simplify worktree include handling
* fix(server): constrain worktree include traversal
* fix(server): clean up failed worktree branches
* fix(server): skip missing worktree include entries
* fix(server): make worktree includes best effort
* fix(server): skip failed worktree includes
* fix(server): harden worktree include planning
* fix(server): preserve reused worktree result shape
Materialization reports describe one creation attempt, not durable worktree identity. Carry them beside the worktree so newly created and reused results keep the same stable shape.
* fix(server): harden worktree include boundaries
Replace directory snapshots exactly, keep canonical Git metadata protected, report recovery skips, and only roll back branches owned before worktree creation.
* fix(server): follow safe include aliases
Traverse canonical in-checkout directory links during glob planning and treat coded revalidation failures as per-entry skips.
* fix(server): make include preflight race safe
Create fetched checkout refs atomically, retain overlapping copy entries for independent fallback, and protect the full managed-worktree base.
* fix(server): preserve staged recovery state
Validate completed directory snapshots, retain backups after failed restoration, and derive atomic ref guards from the repository object ID width.
* fix(server): preserve partial include progress
Keep safe glob matches, enforce recursive-directory types, validate staged roots, and retain OID guards through rollback.

The base ref mismatch error printed the same value on both sides, so it
always read "expected master, got master". All four throw sites computed
`baseRef = compare.baseRef ?? resolvedBaseRef`, but the guard only fires
when the caller passed a ref, so `baseRef` and the "got" value were the
same string by construction. The value that actually differs -- the
stored `baseRefName` from the worktree metadata -- was never shown,
which left the error undiagnosable from the UI alone.
Build the message in one place and have the four guards throw it, naming
the refs `stored` and `requested`. The wording deliberately avoids
"expected": a caller's ref can be stale, but the stored ref can equally
be the wrong one, so the message states both facts and leaves the
diagnosis open.
The guards stay where they are. Only the message moves, so the condition
that fires each throw is still visible at the call site, and both refs
are narrowed to plain strings by the time the message is built.
Throw conditions are unchanged; only the message text differs.

* feat(server): expose daemon Git pressure metrics
Separate limiter queue wait from Git execution time and report subscription ownership so accumulating work is visible in the existing runtime log.
* fix(server): collect subscriptions in agent metrics
Reuse the existing agent snapshot during runtime flushes so WebSocket shutdown does not require an additional AgentManager method call.
* test(server): retry transient hub cleanup
* feat(commits): distinguish workspace history from base commits
Keep every workspace commit visible while bounding base history to ten
context commits, and make push and base state readable in the commit rail.
* fix(commits): preserve history when base refs disappear
Fall back to recent HEAD history for stale saved bases, and reject truncated
git output instead of presenting an incomplete commit list.
* fix(commits): classify history against the current base
Use the furthest-ahead local or remote base for classification, and re-infer
base history when saved worktree metadata points to a deleted branch.
* Fix pending checkout diff subscriptions
* Reduce checkout status Git spawns
* fix(checkout): own pending diff cancellation
Checkout sessions could invalidate a subscription before its shared watch had finished opening. Register targets synchronously and let the diff manager honor cancellation so pending and concurrent subscriptions share one teardown path.

* feat(app): show recent commit history in explorer
* fix(app): keep recent commit history accurate
* fix(app): include merged commits in recent history
* perf(app): bound recent commit classification
* fix(app): refresh recent commits on Git updates
* fix(workspaces): start pasted pull requests from their branch
Recognized pull request links now select their branch directly instead of
waiting for a separate confirmation. Ensure single-branch clones also record
the fetched branch so the new worktree can track it.
* fix(workspaces): keep pasted PR checkout target-safe
* fix(workspaces): make pasted PR resolution deterministic
* fix(workspaces): preserve explicit checkout selection
A recognized pull request selects itself only when its attachment is added. Once the user chooses a branch, later composer edits must not derive checkout state from existing attachments.
* fix(composer): ignore stale pull request lookups
A lookup may finish after the workspace target changes. Only apply its attachment and selection event when the host, working directory, client, and remote still match the target that started it.
* fix(workspaces): make checkout choices authoritative
Arm automatic pull request selection only when a new PR link is detected. An explicit picker choice cancels that pending selection, existing draft attachments never infer checkout state, and target changes suppress carried-over lookups.
* fix(workspaces): stabilize pull request auto-selection
Keep the first PR selected when one edit contains several links, and accept a completed lookup when only the transport client changed for the same host and checkout.
* fix(composer): release removed pull request lookups
Release each auto-attach invocation when its composer state is abandoned, while continuing to discard any stale response.
Expected rev-parse failures were logged like unexpected discovery errors after Git detection became fail-open. Keep ordinary non-Git results silent while retaining diagnostics for genuine process failures.
